The Central Alps is recommended for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced Hiking / Mountaineering climbers due to its easy access and location where many mountains are gathered. Among the many Hiking / Mountaineering routes leading to many mountains, we will guide you to recommended courses for beginners, intermediate climbers, and advanced climbers.
Mt. Kiso-komagatake, the highest peak in the Central Alps at 2,956 meters above sea level. There is a steep Hacchozaka slope immediately after leaving the hotel, but once you climb Hacchozaka and reach the ridge, the view opens up, and the rest of the trail is a gentle Hiking / Mountaineering trail. It is not too physically demanding and can be enjoyed as a half-day course!
Hiking / Mountaineering is recommended from July to October. (Snow gear is required from November to June.)
Even though the mountain is easy to climb, please do not underestimate it and make sure you are well equipped and submit a Hiking / Mountaineering report before setting out.

Senjojiki Cirque is the most representative curl in the Central Alps, but there are many other curls in the area. Among them, the course around Nogaike, the only glacial lake in the Central Alps, is a challenging course that is a bit long and requires a lot of physical strength.
Use a hotel and leave early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful scenery before the afternoon gas comes out. In years with heavy snowfall, there is still snow on the course even in late July, so please be careful.

There is no Hiking / Mountaineering trail from the Kiso side, and the only way to climb the mountain is to follow the ridge from the main ridge. Therefore, there are few visitors, and the mountain area is quiet and rich in nature.
