Komagane Station on the JR Iida line and the Suganodai Bus Center are the main entrance to the Central Alps. From there, you are taken by a local bus and an aerial tramway to the Senjojiki Cirque (Kaaru) 2,612 meters above sea level.
Thus, without taxing your legs, you’ll be at the foot of the alpine peaks almost miraculously.
The Hotel Senjojiki is located next to the Ropeway Senjojiki Station, and the breath-taking panorama of the Central Alps is right before your eyes.
In summer, a colorful variety of alpine flora adorns the cirque, through which alpinists are climbing up to Mt. Hokendake soaring into the sky. In autumn, you can feast your eyes on beautiful autumnal tints as they descend from the mountain tops down to the piedmont.
