Central Alps Komagatake Ropeway

The highest ropeway in Japan.
Constructed in 1967 at the base of Mt. Hokendake and the edge of the Senjojiki Cirque, it is the first alpine ropeway station built in Japan with an elevation 2,612m. You can experience the changing of the seasons in the vast natural landscape of the Central Alps.

Year round daily service between JR Komagane Station and Ropeway Shirabidaira Station scheduled bus service. Serving not only the Komagane and Ropeway stations, the buses service the citizens of Komagane with numerous bus stops along the way.
